Roy B. Elliott, 85, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Durham after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and farmed most of his life.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mealie Elliott of the home, a son, Harold Thomas of Henderson, a daughter, Bitha Ceron (Jose) of Oxford, a granddaughter, Christie Tingen of Henderson, a grandson, Eugene Elliott of Oxford, two great-granddaughters; Amber and Haley Patterson, two great-grandsons; Nicolas Blacknall and Brandon McArthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Addie Elliott.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford.
